Why Would They Name this Comic Dick Cole?
The issue with the guardians was that they already had macottsand wanted those to stay as well. So they wanted to reinvent the wheel but also keep the old wheel at the same time and ended up with a vehicle that had 2 sets of wheels, one that was already established and one that was added on top of that and realiced they don't need both. So they went with the ones that were already established instead of the new ones nobody ever asked for.
Thanks for the golden age comics series.
Thank you.
This is extremely interesting!! Thank you for putting in the legwork to cover this topic!
What if Wolverine was lord of the Vampires. Where Frank Castle becomes the Sorcerer Supreme.
One of FAVORITES
Another fascinating episode.
Pocket Sand!!!!!! 21:05
I genuinely expected to find the short-lived web-series _The 7th Portal_ and _The Accuser_ on this list, but apparently those left so small a splash I'm the only one who even remembers they existed.
It’s good to see some Ninja Turtles every once in a while.
All of Stan Lees ideas were golden.’
11:15 That looks like a panel from the Squadron Supreme limited series that predates Watchmen by a year. Bit weird Gruenwald isn't getting any credit.
I have to agree with the lettering!
You do a good job finding covers and individual panels to display as examples to go along with your script
This reminds me of this page cakked The Gutters, full of vitriolic satire about the comic industry.
How bout lost media about wonder woman who getting raped storyline in 90s
superman's cape helps him maneuver in the air...lol
Can't wait to see the Joe Kubert episode!
Maaaan. Thay dude had to be laughing when he wrote 'polish his bobsled'
Mark Millar's [____________] is edgelord nihilism.
I had to look up the Guardian Project's Canuck. Yikes!
Don’t forget Duffman. Oh Yeah!
Captain Marvel would have survived if not for a stupid lawsuit by a company whose sales were slumping.
19:06 I remember hearing on Pretty Much It that Stan Lee wouldn't cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy, because he didn't know who they were. But I guess the plans were changed anyway.
I havent read comics for 40 years and I love this channel ❤
I just discovered your channel and this is my first video here! I love your style and your editing!! I can't wait to watch more dude! And thanks for the recommendations. Honestly I'm a novice to comics but this really helps a ton!
This run sounds like a lot of fun
besides the wresler thing, The batman thing sounds kinda cool
Why does modern comic art look really ugly
Uniform? No. Most superheroes wear costumes, not uniforms. Unless they're on a team.
Wolverine from marvel comics and Batman from DC.
I must disagree. I read this story at a very young age and these comics made me realize the potential of comics, especially DC comics.
great, visionary and extraordinary comic book artist Wally Wood, Thank you very much Chris
You're funny and have great taste in horror comics. Sub'd!
Knull and the Klyntar is the ultimate retcon imo
Oh my gosh....Dynamite Thor is just Bakugo from MHA, flight via explosions and everything.
I was working at Prudential Arena, home of the Jersey Devils, when the NHL Guardians launched, and it was almost stunning how flat the low-effort hero made for the team landed ("The Devil") . Pretty much everyone, including whole crowds of spectators, reacted like one does to a lame joke: not confusion, not even derision, just direct silent non-acknowledgement, sincere disinterest backed up by a conscious refusal to give the effort energy so as not to encourage more of the same.
I now understand the Ukraine war thanks to this comic.
Jeez, how sick were you by the end of this?
11:53 _Places pitchfork down_ Also, NOVEMBER 15 OF 58!!
no wonder why no one bought this comic. its stupid!
Oh wow I always thought Tim Drake was created by Chuck Dixon
Cool, but let's get real now with a Jim Aparo special!
What I take from both JTHM and I feel sick is to not lose your creativity, and be something more than a shallow asshole where even if you are stripped of what keeps you happy and productive there is still an intelligent kind person underneath. NEE when stripped of his life is actually a homicidal person who is easily triggered by people who ticked him off which made him an easy target for the D boys. While Devi was actually a logical person who loved her creativity, her new job is probably what made her an easy target for Sickness. Once she quit it was way easier to fight her demons.
Artists like him are why I stopped reading new comics. I liked the Kirby method and this felt so sterilized that it lost all feelings, like removing the music in a film. The insistence on photo realism is lazy and lacks nuance. Pacing is less clear, focus often nonexistent. Add to that the sexualizing of underage girls, and Marvel lost my business. I was especially upset with the depictions of Kitty Pryde, my favorite character. I even tried to dress up as her for Halloween, not very successfully, it was in the year 2001. Cosplay wasn't very big, and resources weren't as common, but I actually was 16, had the proper length brown hair and eyes, and the right figure for it. Sadly no pictures, though. Anyway, I loved having a relatable character that looked like me. So imagine my shock seeing her like that a few years later. I was hoping to get back into reading them regularly, but changed my mind soooo fast. I already was annoyed by the photo realism, sigh. Oh well, maybe they'll eventually get interesting again, but probably not soon.
HOW IS STRIPPERELLA NOT ON THIS?
Ew.
I’d love another Dick Tracy video, love this channel
The Ant-man voice is hilarious
They also used DC's STAR-MAN and CREEPER in one of the their other comic named GRAHNO (and also SUPER-MAN appeared in this comic) which was a copy of ECLIPSO even the story was very similar ad the Villain (Grahno) was a copy paste of ECLIPSO but the artist (late) sir DHEERAJ VERMA ji did amazing job in fact bettter than the original one 😊😊😊😊😊😊
